Athletico Maccesfield FC

The team was formed in November 2005 with the help of a very generous kit sponsorship from MPSL Planning & Design Ltd and was at that time known as Macc Boys U7, they were formed too late to register for the League, but managed to play a few good friendly's and perform respectively in the end of season tournaments.

With the team fully registered for the 2006-2007 season and the team now known as Macc Boys U8 they had a successful first season with the whole team showing dedication and personal improvement, although the season finished with the Manager and Coach stepping down to pursue other commitments.

This Season 2007-2008 dawns a new beginning with a whole new management team headed by Team Coach Scott Newton, Assistant Coach Dave Golden and Chris Brown as Team Administrator, Scott has been brought in to the team with a wealth of knowledge and great training ideas and with Dave a keen player himself assisting with the training and Chris pushing the papers around.

The 2008-2009 season has seen the club and management break away from the Macclesfield Junior set up to form a new club called Athletico Macclesfield. Our Managing Director remains as one of the coaches and MPSL continue their sponsorship of the new kit based on our Spanish sister club Althletico Madrid.
